Two coats of Krylon Ivory Satin spray paint (purchased at Wal-Mart for $2.00) and the rooster is just a memory....
Definitely an improvement but it is so boring....
A dry brush of Lamp (Ebony) Black over this cute #7 stencil I made with my Cricut might do the job.....
Cute but still missing something....
A finish-off with twine (also purchased at Wal-Mart - $4.00 for a huge spool) and that should do it! I wrapped the twine around the top about 6 times and tied a bow on the side! I just love the way my new shanty2chic pitcher looks and it was so cheap! As always ~ Enjoy!

Looks fabulous! I need to just spray paint something, it's a little fear of mine that I need to get over, lol!
Blessings,
Cara
perfect.
ADORABLE!!
And.. I'm SO over roosters too! I had some in our first 2 appartments, but then about 11 years ago, I just wanted them out.of.my.sight LOL!
I love it! I lost interest about 10 years ago in roosters and apples. I am sure I will want them again in about another 20 years!
Lovely transformation!! I am SO with you on the rooster sentiments, can't stand the things!
Great way to get rid of the rooster. I just did a post last week about things in our homes that should go and roosters were on the list. They are definitely a cock-a-doodle-don't.
Fabulous! I have twine wrapped around most of my vases now and I love it. Great job.
Great transformation! ;)

Rachel
Loving the new pitcher! Great before and after shots!

I'm a rooster fan, but have to say this is an improvement. Great job! ~ Sarah
That is so cute, what a transformation. Gotta love the spray paint.
That turned out really cute! The trim is the perfect touch :)
So super cute. I love the number it just made the pitcher 10 times cuter.
I am the next on the list between your 2 projects. I hope you'll come for a visit.

What a nice little transformation. Guess you didn't participate in the recent rooster party, didja? LOL
The addition of the stencil was cute, but the twine really set it over the top!

Visiting from Reinvented. Super cute! Any particular reason for the 7? Just wondering if it had any significance.
Looks fab! You would never know there is a country rooster hiding under there!
I love pitcher 7! It's mighty cute.
Rhonda
How fun and "doable"! Love your style!
Cute. What a difference!
There are some people who will crying when they see that you are "over roosters." Let them cry because I definitely like the new look better. SPray paint on!!!!
This looks fantastic! I love your idea...
Holey numbers! First I liked it just white thinking how cute the shape was, then I LOVED the number, and then I proceeded to DIE when I saw the twine. I'm fried.
Brain is popping. Must number stuff.. NOW. So cute! Thanks for that kick of wild inspiration!

Cute!!! I can't bring myself to junk the roosters. I have only a couple of them, and to be honest, I wasn't all that crazy about them to begin with. Maybe I should take the plunge...just not sure what to replace them with.
Very cool! It looks so much better now!!

Oh I love this. Great job.
Love my roosters but I just started collecting them for my kitchen...Hey but I love what you did to the pitcher...I know the rooster will grow old on me soon also but the new looks out here are starting to make say wowza...love it!
Very cute! Does the "7" have any significance?
Love it!
Love it! I guess I need some spray paint. I'm too nervous to paint over anything---I guess I need to be adventurous! :)
Gorgeous! I've been spraying paint those items that "just aren't my style anymore" too. Love the twine at the top - it just adds that extra little something.
Such a nice change. Very cute!
That looks great! I love how chic it is! :)
Am impressive transformation. I have never been one to spray paint things but these blogs have lots of make overs done with spray paint. I may have to try it!
Very nice touch. Lots of gals say they can't live without their Circut. I have got to check out this gadget.
It's so nice to meet you.
