Ashley's Thrifty Ornaments

I will be linking this to:
Hooked on Houses Holiday Party!

Hi everyone!  Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving!  I just wanted to share a quick, thrifty ornament with you!  It's easy, cheap and so cute!!!

I started with a 6-pack package of square glass ornaments

purchased at Hobby Lobby (50% off of course),

a bag of snowflakes (also from Hobby Lobby) and a roll of 1ply jute twine.

I took off the silver tops from each ornament, pushed some snowflakes through the top, replaced the top and added the twine to hang them....I know, so easy yet so cute!!!!!  I just LOVE them!!!!!

So sweet and simple!  I also filled glass balls with snowflakes but the square ornaments are just too cute to keep to myself!!!!  Happy trimming!!!!!

Don't forget about our Rust-oleum Revamp Link Party and Giveaway December 6!!!  You can get all of the information for it HERE along with the button to help get the word out!!!  We can't wait to see your projects!!!

Also...if you get a chance stop by our new Etsy shop ~ The Shanty Shoppe ~ where we have many shanties available for purchase!!!!

  2. They are cute - too bad we don't have a Hobby Lobby in Florida - will have to go scouting for these square cuties.

  5. Oh now Ashley darlin these are so darn cute. I am going to get some clear glass ornaments today and make some for my tree. I think I will add a little snowflake or two to the glass with a paint pen. Even a little snowman would be cute painted on it.

Thank you for sharing this quick and easy tutorial. Lovin it.

Have a beautiful day sweetie. Country hugs...Sherry

  11. Wow, I LOVE this! I have never seen square clear glass ornaments before. I will definitely be looking for some! Where can I find snowflakes like that. I bought some @ Walmart, but mine were kind of glittery and I wanted them to look more natural.
